Intensive 5Day Pass Terms and Conditions
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
All bookings are considered final under the strict condition that the student has read, comprehended, and consented to the following terms and conditions.
By enrolling in a driving lessons course with Crash Courses Driving School, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and comprehended the terms and conditions and agree to adhere to them.
- ‘You’ refers to the individual undergoing the course, i.e., the student.
- ‘We’ and ‘us’ pertain to Crash Courses Driving School.
- ‘The driving school’ designates the driving school or driving instructor delivering the course for you.
- ‘The instructor’ signifies a driving instructor working independently or on behalf of a driving school during course provision.
Terms & Conditions
- Crash Courses Driving School functions as a booking and administrative agent exclusively for particular driving schools and instructors. We do not offer driving courses directly and operate solely on behalf of driving schools or instructors. We receive compensation through commissions. The contractual arrangement for the crash course or intensive course is established between the student and the driving instructor. Therefore, any disputes, claims, or discussions should be addressed with the instructor rather than Crash Courses Driving School. Crash Courses Driving School cannot be held responsible for any compensation claims from a student.
- Each course duration is determined by the hours booked, including the time allocated for the practical test. Additional hours can be reserved with your instructor at the agreed hourly rate of £40.00.
- All students must successfully pass the legally required eyesight test (20.5 meters or 67 feet), which will be conducted by your instructor on the first lesson.
- If your instructor deems you unprepared for the practical driving test due to safety concerns, you, as the student, will not be allowed to take the test. In such cases, no refund will be offered.
- Should a student cancel a course after the 14-day cooling-off period (please refer to ‘Your cancellation rights’ below), but within 7 days before the course commencement, a cancellation fee of £150.00 will apply to all courses. Any deposit exceeding the cancellation fee will be refunded.
- If a student cancels the course within the 14-day cooling-off period, a £100.00 administration charge will apply if work has commenced to arrange the course. This applies to all courses.
- Any hours used in any course booked with Crash Courses Driving School will be billed at our standard hourly rate (currently £40.00 per hour). Please note that this is in addition to the cancellation fees mentioned above.
- If a student cancels a driving lesson on short notice (less than 48 hours), the lesson will still be charged, and the hours will be deducted from the course balance.
- If a student books additional hours with the instructor and then cancels or fails to attend, these lessons will be charged and payable to the driving instructor at the standard hourly rate of £40.00.
- During a crash driving course, continuous driving is not feasible, so short breaks can be arranged in coordination with the student and instructor.
- All courses are based on average learning capabilities and serve as a guideline only. No guarantees can be implied.
- A practical driving test cannot be scheduled until the student has successfully passed the theory test. If the theory test is arranged by Crash Courses Driving School or the student and the student subsequently fails the theory test once or more times, the agreed course start dates must be adjusted. The theory test must be passed before the driving course commences. Practical test availability is contingent on slots offered by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). Crash Courses Driving School will make every effort to secure a practical test location convenient for the student.
- Crash Courses Driving School cannot be held accountable for any traffic violations committed by the student or the instructor.
- The full course balance is payable directly to the instructor on the first day of the course.
- Crash Courses Driving School does not provide a first-time pass guarantee.
- In the unlikely event that Crash Courses Driving School is unable to fulfill your booking, a full refund of the deposit will be issued. This policy pertains to the driving course itself. If the student is unsuccessful in passing the theory test and requests a refund, the appropriate cancellation charge will be applied.
The Course
- All courses undertaken with Crash Courses Driving School are individualized and not shared.
- Test availability cannot be guaranteed. If a test cannot be scheduled at the conclusion of the course, an alternate test date and time will be proposed, subject to mutual agreement between the student and instructor. In such cases, no refunds apply. Additionally, if the DVSA cancels a test for any reason, Crash Courses Driving School cannot be held responsible or liable for the test fee or any lost lesson time.
- While every effort is made to prepare the student for the driving test, if the instructor believes the student’s driving skills do not meet the expected standard, the student will not be permitted to take the test, primarily for safety reasons. No refunds of test fees or course fees will be provided in such circumstances.
- All instructors at Crash Courses Driving School have been authorized or licensed by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.
- The instructor’s vehicle will be adequately insured through a reputable insurer. Students can request to review insurance documentation from their instructor at any time. Crash Courses Driving School is not responsible for any insurance-related claims; such matters are under the purview of the instructor.
- Smoking is prohibited in the training vehicle.
- Refreshment breaks may be incorporated into the daily tuition period.
- The training vehicle will be well-maintained and equipped with dual controls.
- All special offers and course/lesson prices may be subject to change without prior notice and are at the discretion of the company.
- If a gift voucher is issued by Crash Courses Driving School, it is valid for a maximum of 6 months from the date of issuance. Gift vouchers are intended for use by the individuals named on the voucher and are non-transferable.
- If a student pays an instructor for a course of lessons and does not complete the course, the remaining hours remain valid for 4 months. After this period, any unused lessons will be forfeited without a refund. However, if the student requests a refund for unused hours within the 4-month period, any hours already utilized will be charged at the standard hourly rate of £40.00. Cancellation charges also apply in this scenario.
- When a student successfully passes the practical driving test, any remaining unused hours may be refunded at the discretion of the instructor or upon the student’s request. The refund calculation will be based on the utilized hours charged at the standard hourly rate of £40.00.
- If a student cancels the course within 7 days before its commencement, no refund will be issued under any circumstances. Once a course has commenced, should the student decide to cancel, no refund will be provided for any unused hours.
- If a student books a course but does not initiate it within 4 months from the booking date, the course will be voided, and no refund will be given.
